Stuart Wooldridge is a Vancouver based consultant with 25 years of experience in business development, including the management, evaluation and implementation of strategic finance, marketing, due diligence, and going public projects. Stuart has a B.Comm.(Finance and Accounting) and MBA from the University of British Columbia and holds the Accredited Director (Acc.Dir) designation through the ICSA.
Experience includes serving as either a Director, CFO and President of numerous companies listed on the Canadian and American exchanges, including as Audit Committee Chair of a prepaid communications software company with over $100 million in annual worldwide revenue. He has directly participated in launching 5 public companies through IPO's and CPCs, and is experienced in the evaluation of mergers and acquisitions in the software, automotive, petroleum, and mining sectors. Since 2004, he has worked extensively on China sector investments, performing initial due diligence work on mergers and acquisition projects in China on behalf of institutional investors and hedge fund advisors, serving in executive and non-executive roles with companies with significant China exposure, and undertaking corporate finance/investor relations roles for companies in the sector.
Business development roles include senior sales and marketing roles in the B2B sector, including with Petro-Canada and Exxon to grow market share and roll out new products. He has also worked extensively in both turn-around and start-up situations.
Outside activities includes teaching MBA students in strategy development, marketing, and international business as adjunct professor with the New York Institute of Technology. He has competed in a number of marathons, and also enjoys travel, skiing and scuba diving.
